We are so excited for our first #How2Tuesday of the spring semester: How 2 Navigate the Boston Entrepreneurial Ecosystem with Mary Tobin, Manager of Development & Strategic Initiatives at the New England Venture Capital Association.

Boston has no shortage of startup resources including countless organizations, accelerators, co-working spaces, and events. What do they all have in common? Helping entrepreneurs! Mary will share tips on how to navigate the startup ecosystem and opportunities you should be on the lookout for.

About Mary Tobin
Mary Tobin is the Manager of Development & Strategic Initiatives at the New England Venture Capital Association, where she leads the organization’s gender equity and immigration initiatives, in addition to organizing major events and building member, partner, and sponsor relationships. A resourceful advocate and executor, she is passionate about creating impactful initiatives that solve real problems.

Mary graduated with a BS in Finance and Political Science from Northeastern University, where she founded a startup (funded by IDEA, Rough Draft Ventures, and Dorm Room Fund), founded TEDxNortheasternU, served as President of the Film Enthusiasts Club, and received the Huntington 100 Award. She volunteers as a startup coach for a venture accelerator, a money manager for low-income seniors, and an unofficial ambassador for her home state of Iowa.
